For career selection, unsurprisingly, individuals tend to enjoy certain jobs more than others. This happens when the demands of a job match the preferences of type. Understanding your type can inform your time management, problem solving, best decision making, and stress management skills. Knowledge of type can help you deal with the culture of the place you work, the development of new skills, understanding your participation on teams, and coping with change. She specializes in coaching women and men to face and conquer life challenges that lead to internal transformation. Karen uses 25-years of professional human relations experience to build a common language of success with her clients. She expertly integrates assessments such as the MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory into her practice to empower her clients with information and self awareness that facilitates their success. A native of outlying metropolitan Kansas City, Karen earned her B.A. in Psychology from William Jewell College, completed her coursework and practicum at Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) for the Master's in Clinical Psychology program through UMKC, and earned her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Baker University.As professional credentials are very important when selecting a life coach, Karen has been certified by Coach Training Alliance , a program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) which is the regulating organization for professional coaches. She is a Coach Member of the ICF and the President Elect for 2012 of the Heartland Coaches Association.
